Weedon Group Appoints New Commercial Manager

The Weedon Group, the leading independent group of corrugated packaging businesses, has appointed Warren Powell as its new Group Commercial Manager.

Warren is responsible for the Group’s commercial team whose activities include dealing with costing and pricing, as well as process developments and improvements in the Group’s two manufacturing companies:

• Weedon PSC, based in Hednesford, Staffordshire, one of the UK’s largest manufacturers of Retail Ready Packaging (RRP) and Point of Sale (POS) display units
• Weedon Corrugated Products in Audenshaw, Manchester, which supplies all of the Group’s sheet board requirements, and manufactures volume corrugated packaging.

Warren has spent the last 20 years working in the packaging business, latterly as Managing Partner at Kite Packaging in Coventry. He joins the Weedon Group in the middle of its five-year strategic growth plan, which aims for Group turnover to reach £40 million by 2019.
