Weedon CP Ltd of Audenshaw, Manchester have recently achieved AA+ grade at an unannounced BRCGS (British Reputation Compliance Global Standard), audit. The company have gained the Global Standard (BRCGS), for Packaging Materials, meaning that their packaging is certified as safe to the highest level for non-direct food and non-food products.
Whilst Weedon CP have achieved a consistently high AA grade during the external audit process, this is the first time the company have undergone an unannounced audit. Within 30 minutes of the auditor arriving on site, the audit process begins. This means that the company is audited on the real time running of the site and the processes already in place.
BRCGS is a global organisation, initially founded by retailers who wanted to harmonise food safety standards across the supply chain and is now recognised as the most rigorous third party certification scheme of its type for both food and non-food categories. The grading system provides customers with assurance that products are safe, legal and of high quality.
With sister company, Weedon PSC, having achieved AA+ in its previous unannounced audit, The Weedon Group are at the pinnacle of packaging safety.
